Friend News: Hot New Feature in Friends For Sale!

As you’ve probably noticed, Friends For Sale recently rolled out a new dashboard page. The dashboard is the main landing page for Friends For Sale, the central hub of FFS information.

The new Friend Feed has been designed to help you stay active and abreast of what your friends are doing, similar to the way your Facebook feed works, only customized to the unique actions available in Friends For Sale.

We wanted to shed some light on the Friend Feed so you guys can see the ideas that brought the new Friend Feed to life and gain a little insight on how the feature works.

To do this, I decided to interview some of our engineers assigned to the Friends For Sale team.

1. What inspired the new Friend News Feed?

“The new Friend News Feed was inspired a lot by Facebook. When you look at your Facebook feeds, you see lots of information about what your friends are up to and not just things they’ve posted, but you get to see them talk to each other and interact with people you may not know. We wanted to surface this information better so that Friends For Sale becomes an even more powerful tool for making new friendships.”

2. How does the Friend News Feed get its information?

The Friend News Feed pulls information from the Friends For Sale database of events and happenings. This information is so fresh that as soon as something happens in Friends For Sale it’s published to the feed.

3. What’s next for Friend News Feed? What stories would you like to add to the feed?

“We can’t reveal what’s next (and why would we want to? The mystery is half the fun!) but we think it would be cool if you could send information like how much money you made today into the feed, or publish stats about your assets or your favorite pets. We’d love to hear your ideas too!”

So there you have it: Friend News Feed, the most exciting new thing to happen in Friends For Sale since the Purple Rose (and that was last week!) We’d also love to hear any suggestions you have for the feed. Is there something you’d like to publish that you can’t? Something you see you wish you didn’t? Please leave us a comment, and as always, thanks for playing! We wouldn’t be here without you guys!

Thank You. This feature is surely helpful. It would great if next to my news I could have my favorites ( Let’s say 10 users that I could add or delete at my own discretion) and then of course the already existing all friends news.

Having favorites in addition to wish list could help you save time to find the users you are interested most. If not on that bar somewhere on my profile.

In addition quick reply from news feed and wish listing from would be a plus.

Example, sometimes I see some funny posts from friends or interesting to me that I would like to comment back. At times the thought of going to that entire extra long about me from an specific user limits the interaction as well as posting back faster/ responding to your posts = result= adding more time to work pets as well as buying some new ones.

Would this limit the numbers of gifts people give when actually going to other users profile?
It might- might not because now would be easier and faster to keep contact with more users.

H5! Keep up the good work :)
